Volkswagen has announced that every VW vehicle is being updated for the most recent two model years. The Atlas family and the ID.4 had significant changes for model year 2024 and the rest of the Volkswagen lineup is either all-new or refreshed for model year 2025. In addition, most 2025 VW models will offer an available Voice Assistant with ChatGPT. In effect, the Volkswagen lineup is as fresh as it gets. Select model year 2025 models should start arriving at our dealership in September and other models will be introduced early in 2025. Here are a few more details about the fresh new Volkswagen lineup that's coming to Ed Carroll Volkswagen in Fort Collins, CO.
Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport
The Atlas mid-size SUV family received a major refresh for the 2024 model year that included an inviting new interior and a refined turbocharged engine. In that context, the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport now return to the VW lineup for 2025. Both models will get a newly standard 15-watt wireless charging system plus Light Assist on all five trim levels.
SEL Premium R-Line trims will have new high-end design and comfort features that include four-way lumbar support, headrest perforation and a massage function for the front seats. New colors for both Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport include Avocado Green and Mountain Lake Blue exclusively on the Atlas model and a Pure Grey that’s now offered outside the Peak Edition trim.
Golf GTI and Golf R
These popular hot hatch models are getting a facelift for model year 2025 that Thornton and Boulder drivers will find intriguing. The European version of the Golf GTI was unveiled in January and the European Golf R will appear shortly. Additional details on US models will be announced closer to their introduction early in 2025.
ID.4
Volkswagen’s fully-electric ID.4 had significant upgrades for its 82-kilowatt battery models in the 2024 model year. That included a new rear electric motor that elevates the ID.4 to 282 horsepower on rear-wheel drive models and 335 horsepower on all-wheel drive models. The 2025 ID.4 will be offered in seven trim levels and all models with the 62-kilowatt battery add a standard 12.9-inch display.
ID.Buzz
The all new ID.Buzz is being introduced for the 2025 model year, translating the classic Microbus into an electric format. The US version of the ID.Buzz has three rows of seats to accommodate up to seven passengers as well as a generous amount of room for people and cargo. Standard features include a 91-kilowatt battery, a 12.9-inch infotainment system and an optional Harman/Kardon premium audio system.
Jetta and Jetta GLI
Entry-level models to the VW lineup will be refreshed for 2025 and the updated Jetta and Jetta GLI were introduced in the second quarter of 2024.
Taos
Volkswagen’s entry-level compact Taos SUV gets a significant refresh for the 2025 model year. Our Denver and Westminster customers can ask us about the unveiling of the updated Taos that’s scheduled for late in the third quarter of 2024.
